When the Withings Activité Steel was released in late 2015, the watch was only available in black. There has now been a change. The watch is now, in fact, available in nine different colors: blue (mineral), red / pink (raspberry), dark green (evergreen), khaki, mocha, yellow, white, and black.
The Withings Activité Steel is the third wearable of the French brand Withings. The Steel is fancier than the Withings Activité Pop but does not contain all of the classic luxury materials Withings Activité has.
Apart from the looks, the Activité Steel is obviously just a product, namely an activity tracker that can be used to monitor exercise and sleep. The watch has in addition to the normal dial also a small dial. On that you see expressed as a percentage from 0 to 100 (where 100% is your step goal for that day) how much you have walked that day towards your goal. Beside steps, burned calories and distance traveled is also tracked.
If you wear the Steel Activité while you sleep, the watch automatically measures how many hours you slept, how long it took you to fell asleep and how often you’ve become awake at night. In addition, the watch includes a silent alarm.
All the data that you have collected with the watch can be seen on the associated Withings Health Mate app, where Activité Steel syncs via Bluetooth with it.
The Activité Steel does not need to be recharged. A watch battery will last for over eight months (and can then be easily replaced). You can also swim, and shower: up to fifty meters deep the watch is waterproof. The Steel is – as the name suggests – made of stainless steel, the watch strap is made of silicone.
The watch will cost $199.95 for the colored versions (including a black and white band) and $169.95 for the black or white version.
